Description

The role of a Logistics Account Executive includes the following job duties: attracting new clients, cultivating client relationships, managing the movement of client goods, managing assigned accounts, developing new accounts, and implementing marketing and sales strategies.

Duties

  • Actively pursue and qualify valued business opportunities. Implement successful selling strategies/techniques.

  • Manage new account development for continued revenue and profit growth.

  • Identify situations requiring effective negotiation and maintain positive client relationships throughout any issue resolution process.

  • Utilize available resources and knowledge to orchestrate solutions that increase market share and profitability.

  • Generate new business using existing and potential customer network

  • Demonstrated 3PL sales experience, preferably selling warehouse services to wholesalers

  • Make Outbound Calls to Obtain New Business and to Move Freight for Existing Customers

  • Manage Shipping and Carrier Relationships

  • Negotiate Rates

  • Track Shipments and Provide Updates to the Customer

  • Generate Business Leads

  • Source Carriers

  • Create and Maintain Customer Relationships

  • 1 year Proven Freight Experience Preferred

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, sales, or marketing preferred

  • 1 to 3 years of sales, marketing, or business development preferred

  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to solve problems autonomously

  • Excellent at managing multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

  • Outstanding collaboration and communication skills at multiple levels

  • Goal oriented individual with a desire to succeed and a proven ability to take the initiative

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Compensation

  • Salary - $40,000 - $80,000 (D.O.E.)
